Why a
"Strong Leader"
is more important then a strong company?
First, I
don't want you to get the impression that a strong company isn't
important... it is! However, I strong leader can help you make money
in any company. With that said, yes you still should try to find a
strong company to join. Then, once you have found that company, you should
find a strong leader to help you in that company.
I can't
over emphasize how important it is to be able to work with a strong leader.
You can fail miserably if you just join a strong company, but you don't
have any one to help you build your business. A strong leader can
help you in many ways.
He, (or
she), can add a "much needed" proof that the business works. Many
people may believe in "you", but they may not believe in the business that
you are telling them about. Most people already know that network
marketing is a tough business to really make any real money in. So,
they may listen to you, because your their friend, but they really don't
think that they can make any money from the business, especially since you
haven't either!
After
all, you are probably not making any money yet, since you
just started and your friends are the first people you contacted. If
they know your past too well, then they'll know that you never made any
money from any other business you joined in the past. So, what make
this one different? I know, the product is different this time...
right?
Who cares?
What they really want to know is how much
"Money"
they can make!
So, you
do what you have always been taught... push the "money opportunity".
But, here is the problem. You may have been able to give them a
testimonial about the products, if you have used them... but you haven't
made any money yet! How are you going to gain creditability with your
friends, who know your past, when you haven't made a dime from this
"so-called great opportunity"?
This is
where most people fail. They may have actually found a great
opportunity, only to be struck down by a lack of backup supplies!
It's kind of like be a soldier with the upper hand on the enemies location,
ready to strike, only to find out that he has no ammunition!
A Strong Leader is your Ammunition!
With
enough ammunition, you can get through the fight, and win the battle.
A believe me, it's a battle to get your closest friends to listen to you
about a business opportunity. Although you don't have to contact
them, you want to because their your friends.
You see,
a strong leader can answer those tough questions for you. This will
give you the creditability that you needed. Now, even if the company
is not the strongest business opportunity available, you can still get
people involved, thus making you money. The worst thing that can
happen is that the company folds up and goes out of business. You
will still have your respect and creditability left. Which you can
simply move on to another company that you "hope", is a lot stronger.
What
then happens, is a stronger leader keeps close contact with a group of
people that are interested in a business opportunity. Thus, he has a
downline of people ready to follow his lead, if he finds another good
opportunity. People learn to respect him and believe in him, more
than they believe in the company. Especially, if they were fortune
enough to have made some money with the previous company that he told them
about.
If you
find one of these "strong leaders", you will also become part of his group
of people. He will then keep you informed of the next "latest
greatest" business opportunity. Some of these leaders jump from
business to business, searching for the "one" business that will truly give
them a "residual" income. All too many times, their income dries up
after everyone in their downline signs up. Why you ask?
Simple,
Strong
Leaders
can't be duplicated!
I don't
care what every other company preaches, you can't be successful by telling
your downline to duplicate what your upline does! People are not
duplicatable. Yes, you can duplicate a system. But, if that
system includes that every person do the same thing that their successful
upline sponsor does, it won't work.
Let me
explain. Let's use a typical example that most people tell you to do.
They tell you to contact your family and friends and tell them about the
business. I talk more about this at

area. So, let's skip that, and go right
to buying leads.
Ok, so
now you've bought a lead and you are ready to contact him. Since, he
doesn't know your past, you don't have to worry about him knowing how many
times you failed before. So, you call him up and start talking about
the great products from this company and how great the opportunity is to
make a lot of money. Sounds simple enough. After all, that's
what all the successful leaders do, they call people and pitch the
opportunity and the product. If they can do it, why can't you...
right?
You were
told by them that the product and the opportunity will sell itself.
Since you believe in the product, so will everyone else... right.
Wrong! The product and
opportunity is not what the people believe in! It's YOU that
they believe in. If you don't know how to communicate
effectively over the phone, you won't be able to get anyone signed up.
The facts speak for themselves.
Only
2-3%
of the people, ever involved in any Network Marketing Business, make any
"Real Money"!
Why is that? If everyone simply duplicates what they did,
won't they be successful too? The answer is NO! Again, you
can't duplicate people! Yes, it is true that those who succeeded had
a system that they used and followed everyday. But, the real reason
that they were successful wasn't the system as much as it was their
personality.
Some people just have a "Gift".
They could sell "Sand to Iraqis". For the
remaining 97% of us, we just don't have that special gift. No matter
how many people we call on the phone, we will never be as successful as the
"gifted ones". It's true that if we call enough people, we will eventually
be successful. After all, it's just a numbers game... right?
Well, yes and no! It's a numbers game for the gifted people, because
they have the patience and determination to sit down and call enough people
until they get a "yes" on the other end of the phone.
But, for
most people, we stop calling long before we get a "yes". Since it
takes some time and training to become one of the "gifted one", (Yes, you
can learn to be "gifted"), we will usually give up before we get good at
speaking over the phone. So, what's the bottom line?
The Bottom Line is that
YOU
will never be Successful trying to be like Someone Else!
So, how
do you make it in network marketing? If you don't want to learn how
to be a great communicator, (or better know as a salesman), what choice do
you have?
The answer may be simpler
then you might have guessed. You just be yourself and let a
"gifted" person do the selling for you. This goes back to the
importance of finding a "Strong Leader" (also know as a "Gifted One").
If you find and strong leader, you let them do the selling for you.
That means that you do something that is duplicatable... marketing!
Marketing is a system that anyone can do because it can be copied. It
doesn't involve you talking to anyone. You simply figure out a way to
get people to listen to the strong leader.
In the
old days, you would drag your friends and family to a opportunity meeting
held at some hotel, where you hope that the presenter is a "gifted
speaker". If all goes well, he will do the selling, not you.
The problem was, of course, that there wasn't enough good leaders around to
give great presentations. Technology helped change that. Companies recorded a great leader speaking about the opportunity and
the product on an audio cassette tape.
This
allowed you to simply hand them out to your family and friends. This
helped out a lot, but it still wasn't a perfect system. The tapes
weren't free, and it was quite common to run out of the money needed to buy
more tapes, before you found someone to join the business. Next
came the video tape. Again, this helped sell the business, as the
videos were done by professional speakers, but they still cost too much
money to give out to everyone you know.
Finally, there was the
"conference call". (They call them
"Tele-Seminars" now). This helped out a lot, as you never
incurred any cost. The people calling the conference call paid for
the long distance bill, if there even was one. Many calls were done
on a toll free line. This did however cost the company a lot of
money, so there were a limited number of calls per week.
Of
course, there was always the "three way call". People are still using
three way calls to present their opportunity. However, there are a
lot of problems with three way calls. First, there are usually long
distance charges for everyone on the call. Second, trying to set up a
time when all three people are available is difficult. Third, it's
hard to find a leader, that is good at three way calls... that is also
available to work with you. If you just do a three way with your
sponsor, you may lose the sell.
Your sponsor may not be any better
at speaking on the phone then you are.
Does it sound like you should just give up?
Well don't!
The
latest technology makes it simple to make money in any network marketing
company. What am I talking about? I'm talking about the
invention of the "Live Video Broadcast". The very
same technology that I currently use to explain the different opportunities
that I'm involved with.
Now all you have to is log in
and watch as a leader does the presentation for you.
It doesn't get any simpler then
that! If your company isn't using an "Live Video
Broadcast"
to train and present opportunity presentations to their members, they're
missing the boat. These
Live Broadcasts are the next wave of
communications on the internet. Soon, all companies, not just network
marketing companies, will be using these tools to train employees, do
meetings, and presentations.
That's
why it's so important to find a strong leader that is using the latest
tools in technology to promote, train, and build his business. These
tools could be the difference between success and failure! Without
them, you could struggle to build your business, taking years longer to
finally succeed.
